Ruchnyky are a ritual cloth used by Carpatho-Rusyns since time immemorial. Their intention is not to decorate but to invoke certain qualities on the people or items they adorn. It can be hung over icons or family photos to give them honor. It can adorn bread and salt in the traditional Slavic greeting or line and cover Easter baskets for blessing. It can also be worn over the shoulder of a groom on his wedding day and can serve as a ritual cloth that on the bride and groom kneel on, on their wedding day. Price includes $6 for S&H (5 in stock)
