For my part, I am impressed with the generosity of the Rusyn people—giving so much in time, talent, and donations, often with no thought of being recognized or rewarded. The rebirth of this newsletter is an exciting reflection of that generosity. We plan to make this a vibrant monthly newsletter, overflowing with local and worldly news, along with personal stories.
I’m excited to find that you, our members, are enthusiastic and talking about what’s coming next.

As President, I take my responsibility as seriously. No doubt, you wonder what my role is. I will give you a glimpse into my monthly agenda: The Board of Directors meets monthly. The financial committee meets the week before, and the operations committee meets the week after. I’m present in all those meetings. I am also engaged as a liaison between the Board and chapter/branch leadership. So, you’ll find me attending as many chapter/branch meetings as I can. As the Chairperson of the Genealogy and Scholarship Committees, I assist with programming and scholarship management. And then, of course, there’s the brand new newsletter committee. At each meeting and event, I’m excited to find that you, our members, are enthusiastic and talking about what’s coming next. It’s a lot of work, but your generosity is what makes it all worthwhile!
So, stay tuned and keep in touch. Send us your updates, celebrations, and good news: editor@c-rs.org.
