Professional & Personal Developments

“I was appointed chair of hematology & medical oncology at the Veterans Administration Eastern Colorado Healthcare System. This year I was also named a fellow of the American Society of Transplantation and Cellular Therapy and have my induction into the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Physicians. My son Alexander will graduate in May from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School [UTSW] and shortly thereafter marry his classmate Roshni Thachil. Alex and Roshni will stay in Dallas to do their residency training at UTSW Parkland Hospital , Alex in internal medicine and Roshni in plastic surgery.” – James Gajewski, C-RS member since 2020.

Visiting Nizna Jedlova

Helene Cincebeaux from Tours of Slovakia, did some research for me and I was able to meet the family of Jan Dzupin. They may be among the family of my Grandmother, Julianna Dzupin (Dzupinova) who came to the United States in 1913 at the age of 18. The people were so cordial and welcoming when I visited their home with my friend Sandra (discovering her roots in Regec, Hungary) and Ivan ( driver/translator.) – Mary Ellen (Dzupin/Mihalko) Bush, C-RS member since 2011.
